Following a successful collaboration with Nedap on their Healthcare business unit, D/DOCK was given the opportunity to design the 2,300-square-metre Security unit at their Groenlo campus.
To address the challenge of limited daylight, various architectural interventions were introduced to enhance the existing structure while preserving its unique character.
By focusing on transparency, a harmonious transition was created between two distinct areas: one with a kitchen, grandstand, and flexible team zones; and the other featuring dedicated workstations divided by a central green core with a pantry and benches, serving as a gathering place for informal meetings and casual interactions.
The Security business unit now benefits from an enhanced spatial experience where human scale and user-centred design create an environment that prioritises wellbeing, functionality, and connection.
