Concept of multifunctional use
In the municipality of Drimmelen in Noord-Brabant, the council chamber was extensively renovated according to a design concept by M+R interior architecture. The aim of the refurbishment was to create a multifunctional space that can be used not only for municipal council meetings, but also for training, presentations and wedding ceremonies.
A total of 27 Eyla office chairs with high-quality leather upholstery were used in the renovated hall. The blue benches in the inner circle of the oval arrangement are specifically intended for wedding guests.
With this new spatial concept, the municipality of Drimmelen has created a place that combines democracy, municipal connectivity and multifunctionality. The visual design connects the surroundings with the interior: photographs, a graphically designed carpet and a carefully coordinated colour palette reflect both the urban and natural environment.
