At Infinity Amsterdam, Casper Schwarz Architects were presented with a bold challenge: transform an underused inner garden into a lively, multifunctional environment that would inspire connection, creativity, and balance.
What emerged is a vibrant, layered space—reflective of the evolving expectations of young professionals—where community, flexibility, and well-being take center stage.
Breaking the Mold of Traditional Office Design
Instead of opting for fixed workstations or enclosed offices, Casper Schwarz Architects envisioned an open and dynamic setting that invites exploration.
At its heart is a raised catwalk—a sculptural pathway that threads through the space, linking stacked glass meeting rooms and tiered seating balconies. This design move injects playfulness and vertical dimension into the interior, fostering natural movement, curiosity, and interaction.
The Work Café: Where Lifestyle and Work Intersect
A standout feature is the ‘work café’—a hybrid social-professional zone where a central coffee bar flows into lounge corners, a buffet kitchen, and even a gaming area. This design celebrates authentic collaboration, whether over coffee, a casual chat, or a game of snooker.
Users can choose how they want to engage, with a mix of open and closed meeting zones offering both formality and freedom.
Immersed in Nature, Designed for Well-being
Wrapped in lush greenery, the space creates a tropical, biophilic ambiance that enhances well-being and mood. The design reflects a deep understanding of a generation that values emotional connection to the workplace and seeks environments that support both focus and fulfillment.
A Stage for Growth
A dramatic artistic acoustic panel serves as both a visual centerpiece and a functional solution, concealing a reimagined auditorium now used as a training and development hub. With additional flexible working zones on surrounding levels, the project delivers a truly hybrid workplace tailored to fluidity, learning, and community.
