Thomas van Leeuwen

Thomas van Leeuwen is Partner and Director at D/DOCK. He studied architecture and real estate development at the University of Technology in Delft. In 2019 Thomas became one of the 4 partners, together Francesco Messori, Coen van Dijck and Edward van der Poll.

Thomas has a focus on the pre-design phase. Before joining D/DOCK, Thomas has worked at VolkerWessels, Aestate, ING Real Estate and Stevens van Dijck. He combines this background in architecture, finance and legal for innovative and creative concepts and to make them feasible. His interest lies in the overlap between industries, such as workspace, hospitality, healthcare and education. Thomas has been in the national news regularly about D/DOCK’s mission to improve the way spaces are being used. D/DOCK is based in the creative district of Houthavens at the west side of Amsterdam, where they designed and developed their new studio as experimental showcase of their own concepts. D/DOCK is considered as one of the pioneers in blended use, which is about adding the factor time to architectural and interior design.
