Kris Brans

After his studies as a Master in Bioscience Engineering (1997) Kris started his career as an environmental engineer, supporting small, medium-sized and large companies.

In the period 2000-2003 he enlarged the scope of this specialism with the highest degree in safety & environmental engineering, and combined these areas of responsibility with the facility management for the biggest IKEA store in Belgium.

5 years later Kris became Country FM for IKEA in Belgium, an experience from which he fully benefitted when taking the challenge as Global CAFM Superuser for IKEA (scope over 350 units in 24 countries) in 2013 in Malmö, Sweden.

Since 2020 he is a regional FM Manager for all IKEA units (65 retail units, DC’s & offices) in France, Belgium & The Netherlands, passionate about leading business and people in change.

In his spare time Kris is, since 2017, proud board member of belfa (BELgian Facility Association), one of the biggest professional FM associations in Europe with over 1000 members.
