Carlijn Timmermans

Carlijn Timmermans is founder and lighting designer of C.Light.Wise, an architectural lighting design studio with a strong focus on public spaces, both interior and exterior.
Carlijn has been working as an independent lighting designer since 2012. This allows her to combine her affection for spatial design, lighting design and her communication skills and to work with enthusiasm on projects where lighting design is essential. 

The office is based in Utrecht, but the projects are spread around The Netherlands. She holds a Master’s degree in Architectural Lighting from Wismar University of Applied Sciences. Additionaly, Carlijn is the Dutch ambassador for Women in Lighting, an inspirational and global digital platform that profiles women working in the field of lighting and lighting design. She is convinced that the best designs and solutions are born from knowledge, an open mind and the courage to collaborate.
