Katrien van Dijk

Katrien van Dijk is Lead Architect at Arup Amsterdam. She has a strong love for the actual making of things; from developing a strong concept, going through all stages of spatial and material development, refined detailing and cutting-edge engineering, to arriving at a design that excites one’s senses and delights its final users.

At Arup they believe in Total Design; great architecture is accomplished when technique, design and aesthetics unite. With Hybrid working being the new standard, the physical workspace becomes an important and inviting place to meet and to collaborate. A creative and vibrant space where people feel a sense of belonging and where company values are felt.

Before joining Arup, van Dijk worked at architecture firms MVRDV, OMA and Kaan where she contributed to stunning interior design projects, such as the Timmerhuis in Rotterdam and the Rothschild Bank in London.Today, Van Dijk works in close collaboration with a range of clients to design their future office. In search of beauty, and driven by sustainability, biodiversity, digital innovation and multidisciplinary design, she is committed to helping clients to create their ultimate, green workplace, offering its users spaces that make them happy and comfortable to work and reside in.
