Stavros Chatzichalkias
Director of Workplace Facility Strategy, Dow
Stavros Chatzichalkias is the Global Corporate Facilities Engineering leader and Director of Workplace Facility Strategy. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Aerospace Materials Engineering from England. With more than 25 years of experience as a Consultant Engineer, Stavros brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
Stavros joined Dow in 2014 as part of the WorkPlace Services (WPS) Tech Center, where he worked with the PMO team to support projects and implement Dow standards and procedures. He then transitioned to the TES Buildings Tech Center for two years before moving to the Corporate Facilities Expertise Center.
Over the last 10 years with DOW, Stavros is supporting REF Program Management Office (PMO) projects and global M&E buildings projects, in the EMEAI, Latin America, and APAC regions. He is responsible for leading the Global Workplace Strategy of DOW, the CF Workplace Guidelines, the office and laboratories furniture standards, the Audio-Visual technology standards for offices and Conference rooms, and is a liaison between REF and TES technical support. His most proud moment within DOW was as a project engineer for the Terneuzen DOW Diamond Center office building.
Based at the Terneuzen site in the Netherlands, Stavros lives in the nearby city of Middelburg, and has two children, 15-year-old Nestor and 10-year-old Helena. He enjoys good weather with a BBQ and a fruity cocktail, traveling, sailing, and spending his summers with his family in the beautiful islands of Greece.
