Karin Dorrepaal and Saskia Oranje are the founders of DOOR. DOOR architects stands for open design, because truly sustainable results grow through collaborative development. We believe in strong long-term strategies and a simple first step.

Since our founding ten years ago, circular thinking has been at the heart of our daily work. It has fundamentally changed our design and construction methods. From the most circular town hall in the Netherlands in Krimpenerwaard to the Hoog Over residential concept for housing associations, every step has taken us further. We bundle all these experiences in our ‘Flourish Framework’. This framework allows us to combine qualitative and quantitative insights to work with our clients towards a single ambitious goal: a radically regenerative living environment.
